2nd August 2002 - Purple
Ronnie
The final day of my holiday, and a couple of
opportunities presented themselves for getting 'Purple Ronnie' 57601 on film.
The shot in the morning was a bit of a git though, as I discovered a much better
location just round the corner for this train after it had gone - d'oh!
12th August 2002 - Pendo
Drag
Over to Cossington for 47279 dragging a
Pendolino to Old Dalby. The Mainline blue 60 was an unexpected bonus.
14th August 2002 - Tractor
Hauled EMU Drag
37695 was dragging a new EMU from Brighton to
Derby Litchurch Lane so it could receive some rectification work.
16th August 2002 - Random
Day in the Burton Area
A day off work was spent in and around Burton
on Trent, with the main target being 6M47 which produced Romanian 'Grid' 56007.
17th August 2002 - Cross
Country 47 Countdown
With only a couple of days left of Cross
Country 47 action, I made a move for 47826 near Cheltenham.

the RMC
A late running Peak Forest to Ely RMC stone
train produced a couple of early morning shots of 60081 in GWR green livery.
30th August 2002 - Whizzo on
the Clay
D1015 'Western Champion' was used on a few
local china clay trips around St Blazey so that St Blazey crews could get
familiar with the loco ahead of some railtours with the loco into Cornwall. The
weather was dire for much of the day, but a brief burst of milky sun in the
afternoon produced this half lit shot.
