The London Underground has always fascinated me, ever since I first encountered it in 1977. As a teenager, I made several trainspotting
trips down to London, and it was inevitable, that those trips would include the Underground, and armed with the excellent Rolling Stock
Books by Brian Hardy, I got to know the lines and the rolling stock (most of which has since been replaced). Many years later, I find myself
producing a yearly London Underground Guide Book which includes a rolling stock list, and with which I receive much valuable help from
Mr Hardy. My only regret is that in those early days, I didn't really take enough pictures of the Underground, but then I can say the same
thing about mainline stuff too. Affording film and processing, plus my lack of technique meant that much was missed.
