When the Channel Tunnel opened to freight traffic in the 1990s, British Rail painted three locos in foreign liveries (German, Belgian and
French). This is the German livery, 90029 wearing a version of DB red. Who would have thought that eventually the German Railways
would take over some of the UK railway companies and DB red would become the standard livery for a 90! 90029 races through Rugby
with the 5F91 14.39 Euston Downside Carriage Sidings to Warrington Mail Terminal empty mail vans.
