At the time of my visit, there had been a prolonged dry spell which meant there was a high risk of lineside fires from coal fired steam
locos. As 9 'Prince of Wales' is oil fired, it was almost certain to be used. Here it is entering the 'S' curves on the approach to Devil's
Bridge with the 1030 Aberystwyth to Devil's Bridge.
