I really wanted to get a class 373 at Nashenden Farm, but had come to the conclusion that the two late afternoon / evening workings
would not be quite right. The later working, would have been ideal in June / July, but in August would very likely be shadowy, and the first
working, due at about 1530, would be slightly backlit, so I opted to do it at Boxley instead. I then discovered that it had departed from
Brussel Zuid a whopping 78 minutes late, so I moved from Boxley to Nashenden Farm where the light was spot on. The late running
had also compromised the Boxley shot a bit as the shadow of the electricity pylon was right across the track, so I am happy I made the
move. Class 373 Eurostar 3016/3015 passes Nashenden Farm with train 9141, the 1452 Brussel Zuid to St Pancras International.
