Blackpool Trams 2007

When the winter season gave way to the Easter weekend in Blackpool, enthusiast's of the tramway had the delight of a freshly repainted Brush car 623 in 1940's style green and cream to enjoy. 2007 was an interesting season, but to me, it turned out to be the last 'proper' season of the traditional tramway. It was the last year when the tram service started at around 6am each morning, from the start of the 2008 season, the tram service didn't start until gone 8am and the bus became king along the promenade route. At the end of the illuminations, the tramway closed to allow track to be replaced between Pleasure Beach and Central Pier, Gynn Square and Bispham and at Little Bispham.
