If nothing else, this picture demonstrates
how much more advanced modern digital cameras are in low light compared to
shooting on
film. My lack of technique in those days didn't help either. This is Angel
station on the Northern Line when it still had a central island
platform. It was rebuilt with the northbound line diverted into a new tunnel and
the area occupied by the former northbound track filled
in giving the southbound an extra wide platform. Two stations still retain this
layout, at Clapham North and Clapham Common.
