When the Channel Tunnel opened to freight traffic in 1994, Railfreight Distribution repainted four locomotives to promote the potential
of freight through the tunnel; one in a new version of Railfreight Distribution livery, one in Belgian (SNCB/NMBS) livery, one in French
(SNCF) livery and one in German (DB) livery. All carried the name 'Freightconnection' in the language to match the livery. Railfreight
Distribution became a part of EWS, which has subsequently come under the ownership of the German State Railways (DB), making the
sight of a class 90 in DB livery quite common, but at the time of this photo it was a novelty one off. 90029 'Frachtverbindungen' passes
