When I was in my teens, most railway trips ended with something like this, a class 31/4 on stock to get me back home to Melton Mowbray.
On this occasion, 31462 is doing the honours and stands at Birmingham New Street with a service for East Anglia. I'm afraid my notes do
not reference the actual working, but the destination would most likely be either Cambridge or Norwich.
