In 1999, the Deltic Preservation Society returned two of its locos to the mainline, D9009 'Alycidon' and 55019 'Royal Highland Fusilier'.
Their first use was on two out and back workings between King's Cross and York, the first being worked by D9009. The return is seen
passing High Dyke.
