At first light, a northbound Pendolino
passes Cheddington and plunges into the mist. Of interest is the train coming
the other way, the
only visible sign of which are its high intesnity headlights. With headlights
getting brighter, some trains are now able to run without a
yellow front, a move which some have said is a dangerous step, but the reality
shown here begs to differ, as the headlights are visible
through the mist, but the yellow front is not.
